Flor Estrada

Contralto

Born in Mazatlán. He graduated from the Singing Degree at the Singing School of Mazatlan. He has taken vocal technique classes with masters Martha Félix and Enrique Patrón De Rueda; of vocal improvement and coaching with Daniel Villegas (e.p.d.), Ángel Rodríguez, Enrique Patrón De Rueda, Susan Young, Álvaro Ramírez, Luis Girón May (e.p.d.), Carlos Serrano, Amelia Sierra, Andrés Sarre and Emilio Pérez Casas; has attended Master Class with Linus Lerner.

He has participated as a soloist in Concerts such as Mozart’s Requiem and Gloria de Vivaldi, and in various concerts such as “Sinfonía Mexicana”, “Vive la Música”, “Gala de Brodway”, “Christmas Gala”, “Fiestas Patrias” the state of Veracruz and in the recent recital titled “Concierto Romance: Música Mexicana y Boleros” she has played the role of Zita in the Gianni Schicci opera by G. Puccini; The role of Babba (Madame Flora) in the opera La Medium by Menotti and the role of suzuki in the production of Madame Butterfly for children. He has participated in several Theatrical – Musical shows such as “Cuéntame Cuantos Cuentos Cuentas”, “Murmurando Teatro”, “Pasacalles” and in the new show “Teatro Cabaret: Nights not to sleep”, by Director Jorge Gorostiza, in this last show he shared the artistic direction with Gorostiza and was in charge of the musical direction. He has participated in various concerts and opera galas.

He has participated in two editions of the Sinaloa International Singing Competition and has participated in an edition of the “San Miguel Opera” Contest in the city of San Miguel de Allende, in the state of Guanajuato. He has collaborated in various productions in the cities of Mazatlán, Culiacán, Mexico City, Sonora, Veracruz, Guanajuato and Zacatecas. Among them, Verdi’s Traviata; Madame Butterfly by G. Puccini; Carmina Burana by Carl Orff; La Boheme by G. Puccini; in the recently released Atzimba by Ricardo Castro; Ninth Symphony by Beethoven and Te Deum by Berlioz.

He has participated in various tours of the country that the Chamber Choir “Guillermo Sarabia” has performed, which is made up of soloists from the Singing School of Mazatlán, Sinaloa.
