Gerry López, figura de la escena jazzística internacional viene a Mazatlán

Ganador de premios y reconocimientos internacionales, destacado por su trabajo y disciplina, éste saxofonista de Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, se perfila entre los músicos más notables de su generación a nivel internacional.Gerry López estudió una especialidad en composición y arreglo en el Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música y Danza de París y en el 2013 conquistó el Primer Lugar en el Concurso Saint Germain Des Pres Francia 2013, el evento más importante de la escena jazzística en París.
Destaca como intérprete y compositor de música para orquesta sinfónica, orquesta de jazz, cuarteto de cuerdas y saxofón y ha sido representante del sector cultural de México en Suiza.
Entre otros premios Gerry López ganó el Concurso Nacional de Saxofón de México 2009, el Primer Premio en el Concurso Panamericano de Saxofón Jazz 2011 y el Gran Premio del Concurso Nacional de Jazz de Francia 2012.
Por la trascendencia de su trabajo musical ha recibido reconocimientos del Embajador de México en Francia, Agustín García López y del Embajador de México en Suiza Jorge Castro Valle y ha presentado.
