The Camerata Campbell and the soprano from Chihuahua,Carla Portillo, presented a program this Sunday at the Angela Peralta Theater that showed some of the most exquisite pieces of classicism and baroque during the continuation of the concerts of the Gordon Campbell Season 2018.

Striking and radiant with an elegant red dress, soprano Carla Portillo astonished all with her vocal power from her first performance with the exquisite interpretation of the baroque piece Cantata No. 51 “Jauchzet Gott in Allen Landen” for soprano, trumpets and strings by JS Bach, with whom she initiated the interpretative line of this concert around the elite music of the 18th century.

Carla Portillo, Héctor Tomás and twelve strings and brass of the Camerata Campbell, sent the show to an intermission after provoking a wealth of sensations in the audience after the interpretation of the fragment “Rejoice” from The “Messiah” and “Let the Serafin shine” from the opera “Solomon”, for soprano, trumpet and orchestra” by Georg Friedrich Händel.
