On Thursday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ángela Peralta Gallery, maestro José N. Iturriaga, the most important gastronomic historian of Mexico, will give the conference “Cocina y Cultura de Sinaloa”.

As part of the activities of “Mazatlan Creative City in Gastronomy”, an initiative dedicated to show the enormous potential of the port in the field of gastronomy, maestro Iturriaga will speak about the deep and rich culinary heritage of Sinaloa, emphasizing the contributions of the communities of the South of the State.

José N. Iturriaga is one of the main managers of the recognition of Mexican gastronomy as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. He has given more than 200 national and international conferences and presentations.

Among his books dedicated to gastronomy include titles like “I confess that I have eaten off fondas, zaguanes, markets and banquetas”,”The culture of the antojito”,”The Mexican kitchen in the foreign palates” and “Passion to slow fire. Eroticism and Mexican cuisine”.

Entrance to the conference “Cocina y cultura de Sinaloa” is free.
