This Saturday, May 4, the activities of the Municipal Cinema are resumed with a new cycle, where the last three winning films of  the Ariel award as Best Ibero-American Film will be shown.

We started with the Chilean film “Una Mujer Fantástica” directed and co-written by Sebastián Lelio, which became the first Chilean film to win the Oscar for the best non-English speaking film, was also rewarded with the Goya for the best Ibero-American film, and at the Berlin Festival of 2017, it won the Silver Bear for the best screenplay.

It tells the story of Marina, a transgender girl who is faced with a series of exclusive events triggered by the death of her partner. All those around her believe they have the right to judge her for what she is, justifying her actions against her.

A film with a clear theme, the banality of intolerance.

The film is shown in its original language, Spanish. The show starts at 7:00 pm, free admission with limited space.
