After sunset, the traditional Paseo Olas Altas was transformed into a spectacular catwalk with the “Street Art Fashion Show”, a fashion and urban art event that seeks to fill the beats of the “Eternal Heart” with life, the house of assistance for older adults in street situations, run by Mazatlan DIF System.
The Sonoran designer Édgar Ponce, an artist who has Mazatlan in his soul, devised this event that, with the full support of the H. Ayuntamiento de Mazatlán, brought together political authorities of the port with celebrities, fashionistas and philanthropists around a monumental exhibition “Street Art Fashion Show”.
The event was headed by Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, as well as by the President of the DIF Mazatlán System, Gabriela Peña Chico, and Roberto Rodríguez Lizárraga, General Director of DIF Mazatlán.
In addition, he also highlighted the presence of Marsol Quiñonez, Director of the Instituto de Cultura da Mazatlan, who brought to the public a sample of the talents that this institution forms every day at the Municipal Arts Center of Mazatlan.
Hip-hop dancers, acrobats, DJs, chefs, painters and María Daniela’s special presentation and her Laser Sound created an atmosphere that mixed the exotic with the elegant, the fresh with the sophisticated and the imposing natural beauty of the Pearl of the Pacific with the captivating presence of models such as Perla Beltrán (Nuestra Belleza México and Miss Mundo Top Model) or Aranza Molina, Queen Hispanoamericana 2018, who modeled Ponce’s exclusive designs in an event that stands out for its altruism and for providing diversity to the cultural panorama of Mazatlan.
Also present were the Queens of Carnaval and Floral Games 2019, Karla Rivas and Yamileth Zataráin, respectively.
The event generated a profit of 200 thousand pesos for Eternal Heart, since the painter Yuri Zataráin, who donated one of his works to transform the hearts of those who will live in Eternal Heart.
