Next Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Haas, Mazatlecan writer Patricia Carrillo Collard will present her book “A virtual friend”.

In this work, the Winner of the Gilberto Owen National Prize for Literature 2015 in the Story Category, presents a book dedicated to young audiences in which readers become the protagonist.

On a Saturday, “Lucia” receives a message from a stranger on a Social Network; From here, the decisions of each reader will give rise to different stories, different emotions, different ways of relating to friends, family and the complex world of the Internet.

“A virtual friend” is the opportunity for young people, their parents and school authorities to better understand what Social Networks mean for teenagers, but above all, to understand how important it is to stimulate the understanding of the value that personal decisions they enclose.

The presentation of “A virtual friend” is free. There will be copies for sale at a price of 100 pesos.

In addition, on Saturday, November 16 at 10:00 in the morning at Casa Haas, writer Patricia Carrillo Collard will offer a writing workshop based on her book “A Virtual Friend”. The workshop is focused on high school students. Attendees will develop different endings for this adventure and can share their texts and reflect on social media security.
The workshop is free and lasts approximately two hours. The quota is limited to 20 students.
