The protagonists of the opera “The Barber of Seville” promise magical evenings full of surprises, as announced in their presentation to the different media of the port of Mazatlan for the functions that will be next Friday, November 29, and Sunday, December 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the majestic Angela Peralta Theater.
Considered the best bufa opera of all time, the show will bring together dozens of singers who had their artistic training in the classrooms of the Municipal Center of the Arts, the music performed by the Camerata Mazatlán, directed by Maestro Enrique Patron de Rueda, while Guillermo Sarabia choir will be part of this great production.
Patron de Rueda announced the names of the soloists for the different functions, with Mario Canela and José María González who will play Figaro; Mariana Sofía and Angélica Alejandre will play Rossina; while in the role of Count of Alma Viva will be César Delgado and Eduardo Tapia; for both presentations José María Lora will be Don Bartolo.
The experienced José Medina will be in charge of stage direction, who from his point of view, the cast of this production is on par with those presented on the stages of cities like New York and Paris, among others.
José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, General Directorate of the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte, said that this production is part of the Mazatlan Cultural Festival, that has the full support of the current administration directed by Quimico Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres which has distinguished himself for his unconditional support for the production, promotion of any manifestation of the different arts.
The costs of tickets for each of the functions range from $130 pesos to $250.
