Thanks to the acceptance and the great interest that the general public has shown, the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan decided to schedule another date for the work “The Nutcracker”, which will be held on Sunday December 8, at 6:00 p.m., in the majestic Angela Peralta Theater.

With the new date on the calendar, the work that brings together more than 100 artists on stage will take place on Friday, the 6th and Saturday, the 7th at 8:00 p.m., while for Sunday, the 8th it will be at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets for any of the three presentations continue on sale at the box office of the Angela Peralta Theater, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., its cost is $130 pesos in third balcony, $180 in second balcony, $200 in first balcony and $250 pesos in orchestra.

Thanks to the Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2019 which is successfully promoted by the Instituto de Cultura, the responsibility of the general direction of the function rests with Maestra Zoila Fernández; the artistic direction is Maestro Guillermo Carrillo; and Maestro Enrique Patron de Rueda will be in charge of the orchestral direction.

Narrating the Christmas classic and characters such as Clarita, the Nutcracker, the Harlequins, the Moor, the Magician, the Mice, the Mouse King and the Snowflakes, are the students of the Municipal School of Classical Ballet, the Company of Classic Ballet of Sinaloa, the CMA Children’s Choir, while for the musical part the artists of the Camerata Mazatlan will be the protagonists.

“The Nutcracker” combines a wonderful score with a story that allows you to dream to the point of making you feel like a child. The story tells of Clara, a girl who on Christmas Eve receives a nutcracker as a gift and lives dreamily with him, a story full of fantasy and courage.
