This week the program “Cultura in your Community” an initiative of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan that expands the artistic activities of the port to colonias and other municipalities in Sinaloa to share the creative talent that exists in the Pearl of the Pacific with the wider public, with great activities. The Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan and its director, maestro Javier Acardia, will carry the enormous wealth of traditions and history of Mexico through the dances of Jalisco, Veracruz, Sinaloa, and Oaxaca. The first of these presentations will be Thursday, at 7:00 p.m., in Concordia; and on Sunday, January 19, they will arrive at the beautiful town of Chametla also 7 pm. For its part, on Friday at 7:00 p.m., the Municipal School of Classical Ballet of Cultura will arrive at the Concordia festivities with a beautiful repertoire composed of the second act of “The Nutcracker” and a selection of Pas de Deux de other ballet classics. Access to these functions is free.
