The cinema billboard at Casa Haas will screen, this Saturday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m., the film “Welcome to Me” (2014) by director Shira Piven.

We follow the story of Alice Klieg (Kristen Wiig) who suffers from borderline personality disorder. After winning $ 86 million in the lottery, Alice decides to stop taking her medications, causing her world to turn into chaos. Her windfall gives her a certain kind of freedom, so she chooses to stop controlling her condition and spends the money to fund her ideas. Being a fan of Oprah, Alice decides to use her earnings to create her own television show.

“Welcome to me” goes from the grotesque to the intimate drama, from the irrepressible impulse to kitsch psychodrama, passing through long silences and banalities, where behind all that it makes us simply human.

The film is screened in its original language, English with Spanish subtitles. Admission is free.
