The function “Cascanueces” (The Nutcracker) is one of the most anticipated events of the Mazatlecan public during the yearor. For the 2021 edition, thanks to the success at the box office, there will be three presentations where artists from the Compañía Ballet de Mazatlán and the Municipal Ballet School Clásico will star in Clarita’s adventures at the majestic Angela Peralta Theater.

For this Friday, December 3rd and Saturday, December 4th, the exciting story will begin at 8:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively, functions where tickets are already sold out.

This Sunday, December 5th, the function will start at 6:00 p.m., an event for which tickets are available at the TAP box office with a value of $250 pesos for the orchestra area, $200 pesos for the first and second balcony, while that the third balcony will cost $150 pesos.

It will be more than 100 artists on stage where the main roles will be played by Sandra Fernández, as Clarita; Juan Carlos Santiago, as the Nutcracker; Erick Santiago, Magician; Gean Lee Panchi, as Rey Ratón, in addition to the participation of students from the Ballet School of the Municipal Arts Center, directed by the maestro and choreographer Guillermo Carrillo.

The dancers will dance to the music of Piotr Tchaikovsky, the scenography is the design of Víctor Canizales, and the costumes that the artists will use are the work of the Sewing Workshop of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.

Through the subtlety of the body in movement, the Christmas classic will be narrated, and with its presentations has managed to captivate audiences of different ages around the world, “The Nutcracker” combines a wonderful score with a story that allows you to dream to the point of make viewers feel like children.

These presentations are part of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2021, a calendar of activities made up of various artistic disciplines, which during its performance, thousands of spectators have been part of this successful story.
