The Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2022 will offer a diverse, pleasant, free billboard and in different parts of the municipality this weekend, which makes it attractive for the hundreds of spectators who will witness this successful program carried out by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, directed by José Ángel Tostado Quevedo.

To the sound of Latin, modern, and versatile rhythms, on Saturday, October 15th, at 6:00 p.m. on Callejón Liverpool, the Wolves Dance Academy, originally from Pachuca, Hidalgo, will give an exhibition of their talent, where boys, girls and teenagers will be the protagonists of this family event. Later at 7:00 p.m. in the same place, Dj Heyman will put on the musical party for DJ Saturdays.

Simultaneously at 6:00 p.m., the town plaza of El Recodo will be the venue to develop Sindicatura Saturdays program, where students of different levels of the Professional School of Dance of Mazatlán will star in a program with classic pieces of contemporary dance.

Working in conjunction with ISIC, on the activities of the Sinaloa Cultural Festival, at 8:00 p.m. that same Saturday, the play “¡Hay amor ya no me quieras tanto!” will be performed at the Ángela Peralta Theater by the Nicaraguan company Teatro Justo Rufino Garay. Lucero Millán and René Medina will perform a show where pain, abandonment, and stories of abuse, will be on stage.

Because on Sundays there is also art, this October 16th, the Angela Peralta Theater will be the stage for the Compañía Danza Joven de Sinaloa to present at 6:30 p.m. the staging “Desde el caparazón de la tortuga [from the shell of the turtle]. An interesting contemporary dance proposal directed for children, tickets are available at the Theater box office.

With these types of events, the Instituto de Cultura continues to fulfill the amendment of the Mayor, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, to bring culture and the arts to all corners of Mazatlan, it also pays for the support that local artists receive in providing decent spaces to express his way of making art. All of these events this weekend are completely free.
