Classical ballet dancers and live music this Friday and Saturday at the Ángela Peralta Theater
With a renewed production this Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd, The Nutcracker returns to the Ángela Peralta Theater under the artistic gaze of Guillermo Carrillo.
Live music with the Mazatlán Camerata, conducted by guest conductor Gordon Campbell; the Mazatlán Ballet Company; the Children’s Choir of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, directed by Mariela Angulo and dancers from the Municipal School of Classical Ballet, directed by Guillermo Carrillo, will give life to the Christmas classic that regularly fills theaters around the world during the winter season.
The Nutcracker combines a wonderful score with a story that invites you to dream and travel through enchanting landscapes.
Adapted by Alexandre Dumas, from the original work by Ernst Hoffmann (1816), the Russian composer Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky (between 1891 and 1892) put music to this work, one of the most performed in the world.
This beautiful winter tale stars Clara, a girl who receives a Nutcracker as a gift on Christmas Eve and lives a dream with him, a pitched fight, a story full of fantasy and courage.
The functions are this Friday, December 2 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the TAP box office. Orchestra $300.00, 2nd Balcony $250.00, 3rd Balcony $150.00.
