This Thursday, May 25th, the First Local Theater Encounter “Nuestras voces a Escena” [our voices on stage] begins, convened by the Sinaloan Instituto de Cultura. The program includes plays, conferences, round tables and acting workshops scheduled from May 25th to 28th.

Activities on Thursday, May 25th at the Mazatlán Museum of Art

From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the acting workshop: “Meeting for Theater Lovers”, by actor, director and playwright Pepe Cuevas will be given.

At 10:00 am, the play “Las aventuras del Pirata Barba Juan” is presented, under the direction of Claudio Trejo.

From 12:00 to 2:00 pm, television actor, director, film and theater writer Fernando Barraza will give the workshop “Actor’s relationship with the set”.

At 7:00 p.m., *The Legend of Heraclio Bernal” will be produced, based on the “Caminos Solos” by Oscar Liera. The company Café Moliere directed by Manuel Rochín and Manuel Ruiz will perform.

Activities on Thursday, May 25th at the Casa de la Cultura of COBAES

From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Emma Miorín will give the stage clown workshop The Revealing Mask.

From 12:00 to 14:00 in the same place, Christian Rodríguez will give a Musical Theater Workshop.

At 5:30 p.m., the stilt walkers from UAS and Matachines de Matatán will make an artistic tour of the José María Pino Suárez Market to the Mazatlán Art Museum, where at 7:00 p.m. the First Local Theater Encounter will be inaugurated. Our voices on stage”, which will continue with events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The entrance ticket for the plays has a general cost of $100 pesos and access to the workshops is free.
