Thirteen new professional dancers from the EPDM will be contributed to the world of arts at the end of this school year.

The Mazatlán Professional School of Dance has great prestige in Latin America and has teachers, active dancers, and creators of projects that have been praised even in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Liliana Aréchiga Pérez, educational director of the Municipal Center for the Arts of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, said that the graduates belong to the fifteenth generation of the institution that enjoys great prestige in the world of dance art.

The EPDM is co-directed by the Mexican choreographers and dancers Claudia Lavista and Víctor Ruiz, founders of Delfos danza contemporánea, a resident company of the Ángela Peralta Theater that has achieved notoriety and international recognition and is always in search of new narratives and creation processes.

Liliana Aréchiga affirmed that 25 years after the creation of the EPDM, it is a source of pride to contribute to the world a new generation of contemporary dance artists because their solid training will allow them to develop professional work that will make them transcend in the arts.

The school has official recognition and registration with the Secretary of Public Education and Culture of Sinaloa, and one of the advantages of the students is the possibility of complementing their training and raising their artistic quality through master classes given by dancers and dance teachers. Mexico and other countries that come to the EPDM to share their knowledge, she said.

The Educational Director of the CMA highlighted that the EPDM establishes academic exchange relationships with other relevant institutions in the world of dance and that contributes to raising the academic quality and stage performance of its students.

During its history in the EPDM there is a record of students who come from countries such as Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, England, Guatemala, the United States, among others, and from various states of the Mexican Republic.

The graduation function will be on July 1st at 8:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater; Through their stage performance, graduates will deeply explore and question the facts of everyday life. Afterwards, the diploma delivery ceremony will take place.
