The Government of Mazatlán and the Instituto Municipal de Cultura invite you to celebrate the 214th anniversary of El Grito [the cry ]of Independence of Mexico with a vibrant Mexican fiesta this Sunday, September 15th, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Plazuela República Mexicana.
Singer Jorge Medina will delight with his popular repertoire and singer-songwriter Horacio Palencia, Nathan Galante, Jorge Echeagaray, Banda Puro Mazatlán, and the Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura will also take the stage.
A career spanning more than 20 years on stage has made Jorge Medina one of the most beloved artists in Mexico and abroad. He is a vocalist who will sing songs of his own that were played successfully during his time in the Arrolladora Banda El Limón. Some of these songs will be: “Sobre mis pies”, “Valió la pena equivocarme”, and “Se me cansó el corazón”, among others.
On the cultural side, the Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, directed by Maestro Javier Arcadia, will offer a visual and dance show made up of music scenes representative of the states of Sinaloa, Sonora, Veracruz, Guerrero and Veracruz.
With the style that characterizes them, the singer-songwriters Nathan Galante and Horacio Palencia will go up on stage together and make the audience dance and sing with songs that have been played successfully within the Mexican regional scene.
The fiesta will begin on stage at 7:30 p.m., a quality show that will provide a series of surprises to thousands of attendees of all ages, who year after year have made this celebration special, which will end during the early hours of September 16. Don’t miss it!
