Mazatlán, Sinaloa, October 26, 2024.- The Municipal Arts Center (CMA) and the Ángela Peralta Theater join forces to pay tribute Dia de Muertos and celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Angela Peralta Theater, with an unprecedented artistic exhibition.

400 artists participate in this long-awaited event organized by the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán. The celebration of Dia de Muertos will take place at the Ángela Peralta Theater, the CMA, Plaza Machado and the streets of Centro Historico of Mazatlán.

Through an attractive multidisciplinary proposal, the artistic community of the CMA will bring to life historical characters and events that catapulted the Ángela Peralta Theater as a silent witness to the artistic greatness of Mazatlán.

Tickets will be handed out free of charge to attend the event at the CMA and TAP on Monday, October 28th at 10:00 am at the theater’s entrance.

During the long-awaited tour of the CMA and TAP, students and professional artists from the CMA’s Fine Arts, Music, Dance and Theater schools and workshops will present works specially created to pay tribute to the dead and remember events and characters that have enriched the history of the city’s largest cultural venue.
The decoration and lighting specially designed for the occasion and the presence of characters from beyond the grave, ghosts, skulls and skeletons linked to the history of the theater, created by students and teachers from the School of Fine Arts under the coordination of Monica Rice, will give a deep and symbolic meaning to the tour.
