With a romantic proposal to pay tribute to Mexican classical music on Friday, November 15th, at 8:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater, Tenor Carlos Osuna will perform the “Nostalgias” concert, one of the great events of the Mazatlán Cultural Festival 2024.
In the production of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, the singer from the port will perform with his powerful and emotional voice endearing songs from the Mexican songbook included in his first album “Nostalgias” with original arrangements by Carlos Pino Quintana.
In his long-awaited reunion with the port’s public, the audience will enjoy songs by composers such as Agustín Lara, María Grever, Alfonso Esparza Oteo, Jorge del Moral, Gabriel Ruiz, Ignacio Fernández Esperón, Consuelo Velázquez and Alfonso Espriú.
“Júrame”, “Te quiero dijiste”, “Piensa en mí”, “Di que sí”, “Besos robados”, “Así, Mujer”, “Granada”, will be heard in the venue in the voice and style of the internationally renowned Mazatlecan tenor Carlos Osuna.
For 13 years Carlos Osuna has been a resident soloist at the Vienna State Opera. He began his singing studies with maestra Cristina Vadillo, and developed artistically in the Angela Peralta Choir Hall of the Mazatlan Instituto de Cultura, under the tutelage of Maestro Antonio González Guerrero. Extraordinary talents such as the masters Enrique Patrón de Rueda, Martha Félix and Teresa Rodríguez were added to his training, and he later perfected himself in Bellas Artes and Gales.
On stage he has shared credits and received master classes with music legends such as Plácido Domingo, Ramón Vargas, Anna Netrebko, Rolando Villazón, Juan Diego Florez and José Cura.
