This Saturday, February 22nd, the Evening of the Arts celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Mazatlán Literature Prize, awarding the writer and poet Fabio Morábito for his book “Jardín de Noche” and will pay tribute to Johann Strauss with his music, on the bicentennial of his birth.

The Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán will present a magical event full of music, dance and literature at the Ángela Peralta Theater at eight o’clock in the evening, where the writer who won the Mazatlán Literature Prize will receive the award and a prize of 100 thousand pesos provided by the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, within the framework of the cultural program of Mazatlán International Carnaval 2025 “La Perla”.

In this tribute to Johann Strauss on the 200th anniversary of his birth, the Camerata Mazatlán, directed by Maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda, will perform some of the most famous works of the Austrian musician.

“Baile de Graduados” and “El Murciélago” will also be performed by the Mazatlán Ballet Company, directed by Maestro Zoila Fernández.

The guest soloists on that great night will be: Jéssika Arévalo, soprano; Vanessa Gama, soprano; Andrés Carrillo, tenor and Sarah Holcombe, mezzo-soprano.
