The Institute Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan invites you to the talk “Carts of Dreams: The Magic of Carnaval,” featuring Lucero López and Maestro Luis Ángel Leyva, as part of the Dialogues of Our History program. The event will take place this Wednesday, March 26th, at 5:00 PM.
In Mazatlán, Carnaval is an emblematic celebration where the creativity of hundreds of people merges to bring every detail to life. This Spring Season 2025, “Dialogues of Our History” offers a space to learn about the experiences of those who participate in this creative process.
Alonso Guerra, the event coordinator, highlighted that this month, various people who participated in the creative processes of Carnaval will participate. On this occasion, the speakers will share their experience combining their craftsmanship with the team dedicated to creating the spectacular floats that parade in the port’s biggest festival.
Each of the guests has collaborated on various Carnaval teams, contributing their talent and creativity, which has allowed them to accumulate valuable experiences and anecdotes that they will share at this event.
Dialogues of Our History is a forum that seeks to highlight the work of important figures from Sinaloa and people linked to the cultural life of Mazatlán, covering topics such as literature, music, participation in planned movements, and activities in various sectors.
The talk “Dream Floats: The Magic of Carnaval” with Lucero López and Luis Ángel Leyva is an opportunity to learn about the work behind the magic of Mazatlán Carnaval. Admission is free.
