Do you dream of a future in the world of the arts? Next Tuesday, March 25th, the Ángela Peralta Theater opens its doors for the “Encounter with the Arts,” a unique opportunity for students of all levels who wish to explore the cultural and educational offerings of the Municipal Arts Center (CMA).
Spring Season 2025 invites you to discover a world of possibilities at two showtimes: at 10:00 a.m. and at 4:00 p.m. This event, with free admission (with prior registration at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1BfwUKvaxzOX02DPyBVwwK5e_JIntv_2TYa_dxn0NxWg/preview), will provide a close-up look at the workshops, technical programs, and bachelor’s degrees offered by the CMA.
One of the objectives of the “Encounter with the Arts” is for students to gain a deeper understanding of the CMA’s academic offerings and discover their artistic calling.
The invited students will tour the classrooms and spaces where Mazatlán’s future artists are trained.
After the tour inside the CMA, they will enter the Ángela Peralta Theater to witness a performance featuring students and artists from the Municipal Arts Center, in areas such as contemporary dance, music, singing, and theater.
During this presentation, students will have the opportunity to interact with CMA faculty and students and discover the opportunities that await them.
The CMA offers 17 workshops: Classical Ballet, Cinematography, Visual Arts (Drawing, Painting, Engraving, Sculpture), Theater, Children’s Theater, Music, Opera, Children’s Choir, Adult Choir, Literature, Children’s Literature, Comics, and Regional Music, and offers a Diploma in Cinematography.
It offers technical programs in Music, Theater Arts, Visual Arts, and Classical Ballet, and bachelor’s degrees in Music, Singing, and Contemporary Dance. It has nine artistic companies: Ballet Folklórico de CULTURA, Camerata Mazatlán, Ángela Peralta Choir, Guillermo Sarabia Choir, Delfos Contemporary Dance Company, Iguana Roja Teatro, Youth Symphony Orchestra, Children’s Orchestra, and Mazatlán Ballet Company.
