Book presentations, a poetry recital, and the opening of spaces for new literary voices are offered by the Literary Thursdays program for Spring Season 2025 during the months of May and June.

Coordinated by María Muñiz, these meetings will take place every Thursday at 5:00 p.m. sharp at Casa Haas, featuring cultural figures in a dialogue supported by audience participation.

Literary Thursdays begin on May 8th with “Palabras quemadura” (Burning Words), featuring unpublished poetry featuring writers Ángelo Isaías Camacho, José Benítez, Hugo Haro, and Jesús Camarena.

“Juglarías” (Jugglers: The Voice and Song of the Poet) will arrive at Casa Haas on May 22nd to headline the afternoon program “Palabras de mujer” (Women’s Words).

To conclude May, on Thursday the 29th, the book presentation of “Azul” (Blue) will feature a poetry anthology hosted by writer María Félix Raygoza. She will be joined on stage by María Guadalupe Rojas, María Luisa Rivera, Deva C. Vega, Johana Loaiza, and Eli López, poets who have published their work in this volume.

On June 5th, historian and researcher Luis Antonio Martínez Peña will present the book “Sixto Osuna,” which will address aspects of the life of the journalist, writer, and poet from Villa Unión. Santiago Quintero Flores will be the presenter of the play.

With Lupita Cárdenas as presenter and María Félix Raygoza as moderator, the life and work of writer Beatriz Escalante will be presented on the afternoon of June 12th.

Literary Thursday concludes on June 26th with the presentation of the poetry book “Destellos” by Blanca H. Osuna, presented by poet Julieta Montero.
