Thanks to the Spring 2025 “Puppets” Workshop, held at the Carlos McGregor Municipal Library, dozens of children enjoyed a productive morning, creating characters from their imaginations using recyclable materials in a comfortable environment.
Guided by the librarians at the library located in the Benito Juárez neighborhood, the group of children enjoyed reading a book, and each created a puppet, personalized by each according to their tastes.
The group of librarians, made up of María de Jesús Flores Sandoval, Alicia Morán Sánchez, Rosalba Sandoval, and Perla Landey, began the activities with a children’s story, “Los Compadres,” starring Chon and Baudillo, puppets who created their own stage before the audience’s eyes. Their message was to preserve the environment.
With spirits already raised, the Muppets took over the stage, where they recreated the episode “Starting the Show,” which had the audience laughing nonstop.
The moment to let their imaginations run wild came when each member created a puppet using a plastic container, paints, and various accessories.
For librarian María de Jesús Flores, the purpose of the activity was to celebrate Children’s Day, and she thanked the parents for allowing their children to participate.
