Sinopsis
The 2026 Mazatlán Cultural Festival presents a musical encounter where European classics and traditional Mexican songs converge on a single stage.
Under the baton of Maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, the Camerata Mazatlán orchestra guides a musical dialogue between soprano Vanessa Gama and mezzo-soprano Rosa Ferreiro. The performance beautifully alternates between soaring high notes and powerful low tones throughout the program.
The first half takes off with the orchestral energy of Rossini, making way for the bel canto and Romantic styles of Thomas and Tchaikovsky. After intermission, the concert dives into the rich French textures of Saint-Saëns and the precision of Bellini, highlighting the impressive vocal techniques of the artists. The grand finale shifts the operatic format toward traditional Mexican music, featuring beautiful orchestral versions of beloved local songs.
