Baroque Dialogues

Sinopsis

The Claussen Quintet and guest musicians join forces in a concert dedicated entirely to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. This evening combines the established artistry of the Mazatlán ensemble with historically informed performance practice of the Baroque repertoire. Featuring soloist performances by Maestro Nina Farvarshchuk and Dr. Jascha González, the program crafts a chamber dialogue that celebrates both the technical rigor and expressive depth of the era. The musical journey highlights Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat major, BWV 1051 renowned for placing the violas and lower register front and center to create a warm, rich timbre alongside the Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, BWV 1043. Through this collaboration, the performance reinforces a space of artistic synergy that highlights the enduring beauty of classical repertoire. Supported by the 2026 PADID Grant Program
