Get ready for a unique night of theater full of surprises. The Local Theater Showcase 2025 presents "Río de Comedias," an improvisational theater experience that promises to make you laugh out loud. The event is Friday, May 16th at 7:00 PM at the iconic Casa Haas. The Río a Trote Company, made up of talented actresses Dulce Guzmán and Michelle Moreno, will take the stage to create a completely new play based on the audience's experiences. How will they do it? A volunteer from the audience will share a life-changing event, and from there, the magic of improvisation will bring a unique comedy to life. Live music will be a key element of this experience. Lobito Arias on bass and Abraham Medina on percussion will accompany each scene, creating atmospheres and rhythms that will complement the narrative. From rap and song to poetry and object theater, music will merge with improvisation to offer a dynamic and captivating show.
