A work of immense beauty and meaning, this medieval liturgical poem describes the Virgin Mary's sorrow at the crucifixion of her son, Jesus Christ. The music, composed by various composers throughout history, has captured the essence of this text with moving beauty and depth. On this occasion, the performance will be led by the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan under the direction of maestro Juan Carlos Chavarría. Soprano Vanessa Gama and mezzo-soprano Rose Ferreiro, renowned for their talent and artistic sensitivity, will bring the characters of this story to life with their angelic voices. Their performance promises to be an emotional journey that will transport the audience to a state of contemplation and reflection.
