HIGH SCHOOL OF MUSIC OF MAZATLÁN

The School of Music was established in 1989 at the beginning of the Municipal Arts Center to provide music education and professionalize the training of instructors

The institution responds to the enormous need of artistic education in Mazatlan and trains musical education instructors trained to enter the professional schools of the Mexican Republic, generating opportunities for the development of young people within the musical field.

 

Its objectives are:

– Represent a solid alternative of artistic education and professionalize musical training.

– Train trained instructors to teach music education classes at basic level, basic and upper secondary level according to the level of deepening of the program content.

– Encourage artistic education and the development of activities of this nature within the family.

 

This educational project aims to collaborate with the family in the integral cultural formation, the individual and social development of the student and to satisfy the need of the population to transmit, preserve and increase the cultural heritage of humanity and raise its level within the community.

 

It is intended to respond to the educational needs that Mazatlan requires in the field of music, and at the same time, within the evolution of the educational activity, to develop cultural activities.

 

CARRERA PROFILE

Title: Professional Music Technician

Duration: 3 years (divided into approximately 161 hours, 232 credits).

Classes in afternoon sessions, from four to six hours a day.

The school has different musical groups. In addition, students of folk guitar, classical guitar and piano are attended individually.

 

GRADUATE PROFILE

Graduates of the School of Music will be able to:

Continue with your musical education at a higher level
To teach music education classes in general.
Work as a musician specialized in an instrument, with the possibility of joining musical groups.
Transmit musical knowledge in a systematic way and with the appropriate methodology, based on the knowledge acquired in the pedagogical area.
Compose and make simple musical arrangements.
Form and direct school musical groups.
Manage cultural dissemination at the school level.
The aggressor will have the musical and pedagogical knowledge that will allow him to integrate into an educational institution of basic and / or medium level as an instructor in the music department.

Assistant Director of the Symphonic Orchestra of the University of Guanajuato.

Violinist Orchestra: Fine Arts Opera, Orquesta Filarmónica del Bajío, Orquesta Filarmónica de Querétaro.
