Los artistas ofrecieron una mezcla de coreografías y números de teatro cabaret que brindaron emociones intensas al público a través de una ingeniosa burla al mundo del espectáculo. El espectáculo inició en el lobby del TAP cuando Claudia Lavista, co-directora de Delfos, hizo su aparición vestida de gala y con micrófono en mano, preparando el ambiente de la velada. Ya dentro del TAP, la penumbra cayó sobre el escenario y el público aplaudió con estruendo para recibió a los artistas con gritos eufóricos.
De principio a fin, “Es medianoche…Variedades Nocturnas” hizo un homenaje a una gran variedad de artistas que se han convertido en mitos por su genio, exquisitez, extravagancia o excesos. El cambio constante de ritmos, vestuarios y efectos mantuvo al público atento en todo momento.
Después de brindar una descarga de emociones que fueron de la nostalgia al éxtasis la noche terminó con un playback de música electrónica en el que todos los artistas formaron parte de la coreografía. Para finalizar, los bailarines bajaron del escenario y el público se unió a la coreografía.
“Es Medianoche…Variedades Nocturnas” fue una velada llena de energía, fuerza y conmoción que contagió a los presentes y terminó como una gran fiesta que abrió Festival Internacional de Danza José Limón 2017.

“It’s Midnight… Night Varieties” opens the José Limón Festival 2017 In the Angela Peralta Theater, Delfos contemporary dance company inaugurated the 31st Edition of the Jose Limon International Festival of Dance with the show “It’s Midnight… Night Varieties” on Monday. Artists offered a blend of choreography and cabaret theater numbers that provided intense emotions to the public through a witty taunt of the world of the show. The show began in the lobby of the TAP when Claudia Lavista, Co-Director of Delfos, made her appearance dressed in gala and with microphone in hand, preparing the atmosphere of the evening. Once inside TAP, darkness fell on the stage and the audience applauded with an uproar, receiving the artists with euphoric shouts. From beginning to end, “It’s Midnight… Night Varieties” made a tribute to a great variety of artists who have become legends for their genius, exquisiteness, extravagance or excess. The constant change of rhythms, costumes and effects held the audience attentive at all times through the show. After providing a discharge of emotions, from nostalgia to ecstasy, the night ended with a playback of electronic music in which all the artists were part of the choreography. Finally, the dancers fell of the stage and the audience joined the choreography.
