Entre una variedad importante de puntos teóricos, el maestro compartió con  alumnos la historia resumida de los orígenes de la batería y  su relación con otros instrumentos parecidos como las tarolas, la marimba y los tambores y cómo fue desarrollándose con el paso de los años hasta tomar su forma actual. Destacó la importancia de que cada baterista debe adaptar el instrumento a su gusto a base de creatividad e ingenio, para que pueda desarrollar su propio estilo o esencia musical que lo distinga de otros instrumentistas.
Al término de las enseñanzas teóricas, Oscar Kogsni  guió a sus alumnos en la práctica del estilo shuffle, área rítmica de las percusiones que considera esencial en la vida profesional de todo baterista.
Los alumnos pasaron al frente y demostraron sus habilidades musicales al ejecutar interesantes variaciones de este estilo derivado del groove como el normal shuffle, doublé shuffle y Texas shuffle, entre otros.
Previo a la sección en la que brindó asesorías individuales a cada uno de los alumnos, el talentoso músico agradeció al Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán y al músico Max Carreón por la invitación al puerto y le reconoció a éste último, su buena labor como maestro de los jóvenes.

151 Years of Drumming are Reviewed with meastro Oscar Kogsni
In the clinic “151 Years of Drumming” given this Saturday at the Music School of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, renowned drummer from Mexico City, Oscar Kogsni, instructed 15 young people in the history, evolution and dynamic practice of this wonderful percussion instrument.
With an important variety of theoretical points, the maestro shared with students the brief history of the origins of the drumming and its relationship with other similar instruments as tarolas, marimbas and tambora and how it has developed with the passing of the years up to taking its current form. He stressed the importance that every drummer should adapt the instrument to their liking based on creativity and ingenuity, so that they can develop their own style or musical essence, which distinguishes them from other instrumentalists. At the end of the theoretical teachings, Oscar Kogsni led his students in the practice of a shuffle, a rhythmic style of percussions that is considered essential in the professional life of any drummer.
