Con estas palabras el Alcalde dio la bienvenida a la obra de Arturo de la Vega inspirada en el legado rupestre que antiguas civilizaciones dejaron a su paso por las playas de Barras de Piaxtla, en el municipio de San Ignacio. En la exposición hay noventa obras trabajadas al óleo o acrílico con materiales como la madera y el lienzo y colores que van desde los tonos primarios hasta ocres, que destacan la importancia de este sitio arqueológico, ícono cultural de Sinaloa.
El artista plástico originario de la sindicatura de El Quelite, ganador del segundo lugar del Premio de Artes Visuales “Antonio López Sáenz” en 2011, invitó a visitar la exposición basada en expresiones abstractas y simbólicas que dan testimonio de voces y figuras de antiguas civilizaciones, que hoy constituyen una reserva de gran valor arqueológico en Sinaloa.
Arturo de la Vega agradeció al Instituto de Cultura y al Presidente Municipal Fernando Pucheta, por abrir las puertas del Ayuntamiento de Mazatlán para exponer su obra y por la oportunidad brindada para promover la cultura y el arte.
La exposición permanecerá abierta al público hasta el 26 de mayo.

“Los Guerreros de las Labradas” (the warriors of Las Labarads) will be on display from this Friday in the city of Mazatlan This Friday, May 12th at 12 noon at the Palacio Mazatlan (City Hall) the exhibit “The Warriors of Las Labradas” will be inaugurated by artist Arturo de la Vega Osuna. The works will be on display until May 26th. Located in the municipality of San Ignacio and considered a pre-Hispanic treasure, las Labradas area has become a paradigm of research for scholars and a true tourist attraction for the State of Sinaloa and is the inspiration for the creator of the works. In this exhibition you can see the influence of the symbols that were sculpted in las Labradas centuries ago, i.e., human, anthropomorphic and Zoomorphic figures. We are not fully aware of their meaning or interpretation to this day. Maestro Arturo de la Vega shares his opinion about the appeal of this cultural heritage, which served as inspiration to create his works: “In addition to their natural magic, las Labradas is a space with very special characteristics since, its colors and shapes are in constant variation with the rhythm that advances in the day, and from the reflections of the light that invite us to see a different way of observing the universe”.
