In the context of the end of classes 2017 of the Superior School of Music of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, this Monday morning the students of maestro Mauro Kuxy Delgado and Jorge Cabreero were presented at the Museum of Music.
Kitzia Hernandez gave a warm welcome on behalf of Raul Rico González, General Director of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan; Percival Álvarez, Director of the Superior School of Music and Juan Manuel Flores, Educational Director of the School of Arts of Cultura.
Each student soloed to showcase the skills they learned in class; the trumpet had a remarkable participation: Elmer Dávila, José de Jesús Téllez, Harris García, Juan Flores Morales, Wilfredo Casillas and Javier Acevedo.
Hugo Cornejo, Jose Ramon Caro and Antonio Castillo, showed their talent on tuba; and José Julián Vidal played in the saxhorn.
The recital was accompanied by guest pianist José Miguel Rivera.
Among other pieces addressed in the repertoire: Romsanza by Rafael Méndez; Grand Russian Fantasia by Jules Levy; Gavotte and Melodic Studies by William Bell; Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child by Donald Hunsberger; and Vez tu la nieve que brilla by JB Arban.
