This Monday evening, the technical level students of violin and viola of the music school of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan presented a lively concert at the music Museum to celebrate their end of course.
Before the young people initiated their interpretations, Fernando Montes de Oca, the teacher responsible for the group, welcomed the audience and thanked maestro Pablo López Mejía for accompanying them on the piano, and Luis Ornelas, on guitar.
Rodrigo Rodríguez, David Sandoval, Anel Leyva, Valdemar Solano and Ulises Tavera went to the front of the stage and gave the best of themselves during the execution of their instruments with a repertoire of classic songs and tangos.
When it seemed that the concert neared its end, the audience asked for one more song and students joined their maestro in playing “Gimnopedia No. 1” by Erik Satie, to please their friends and family who motivated them with applause and photographs during the entire recital.
In a sample of their artistic and creative potential, students were dismissed with a series of improvisations based on rhythms and words suggested by the public.
