This Saturday, April 6, Writing Workshop of the Study in Cinematography begins, the preamble of the Technical Career in Cinematography that the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan will launch in September.
Julio Recinos, coordinator of the Cultura cinematography area, stressed that this workshop, the fourth of the course, will be focused on the study of dramatic structures, story lines, synopsis of history, treatment, and will end in a literary script.
The script workshops will be held on Saturdays, the 6, 13, 27 of April and the 4th of May, from 10 am to 2 pm in the cinema room of the Municipal Arts Center.
Applicants must be over 15 years of age, carry a photograph and sign the registration form at the School of Arts of Cultura (next to the Angela Peralta Theater). The registration fee is 470 pesos and 400 pesos per month. Students who have completed the diploma from the beginning will only pay the monthly fee.
For the Mazatlan filmmaker, the commitment of these workshops is a real breakthrough to boost cinematography in the port, since it has a comprehensive vision that includes knowledge about film history, criticism, script writing, production, direction and editing.
