With the sunset sliding down Deer Island and in the presence of thousands of attendees, Mazatlan started the big 2019 Fest, the colossal fiesta with which the City of Mazatlan and the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte celebrate the holidays of Holy Week.
From beginning to end, Avenue Del Mar was filled with music, dance, joy and excitement with four stages that were installed to show musical variety and for citizens to enjoy, and for the first time, a great festival that united families and a lot fun.
After 7:00 p.m., the stages began to sound and with that, the attendees occupied their space on the Malecón to show their best dance steps.
Along the coastal walk, the mayor of Mazatlan, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, accompanied by his wife Gabriela Peña, made a tour of supervision through the four pavilions in addition to greeting and inviting attendees to enjoy the family celebration of Easter.
National tourists, foreigners and thousands of locals enjoyed the rhythm of electronic music, band and versatile music from beginning to end. For a moment, the celebration seemed to be endangered by a technical failure, but the enthusiasm of the attendees was immediate and then the dance along the Bay of Mazatlan began.
The monumental party organized by the City Council of Mazatlan and the Instituto de Cultura was animated with contests, giant beach balls and the insatiable hunger for fun, of thousands of Mazatlecans and tourists from places as diverse as Mexico City, Durango, Zacatecas, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador and Canada, hinting that Mazatlan Fest was here to stay.
