Maestro Héctor Javier Reyes Bonilla, starting today, will be at the head of the
Camerata Mazatlán, as well as the Director of the School of Music and Singing of the
Municipal Center of the Arts.
For a trial period of one and a half months, the music professional will lead the
prestigious institution with the task of expanding the quality and talent of Mazatlan
artists at the national and state levels, as well as seeking assertive strategies to
attract more students and avoid dropping out at all times.
Reyes Bonilla studied at the University of Guadalajara, a Bachelors of Concert, in
addition to the degree in Composition at the National School of Music. He has been
the head of the Camerata Silvestre Revueltas of the Autonomous University of the
State of Hidalgo, Director of the Orchestra of the Autonomous University of the
State of Hidalgo, as well as the head of the Sonora Philharmonic.
With many years of experience in this beautiful art, he was also in the National
Coordination of Orchestras, forming part of 77 meetings, some internationally. The
composer also has spent six years in the Port, which allowed him to know the
context and the artistic family of Mazatlan.
Ms. Marsol Quiñónez, Director of the Instituto de Cultura, reiterated the
commitment to the teacher's list to continue promoting the Municipal Center of the
Arts, inviting maestro Hector Reyes to give the best of himself, seeking at all times,
the growth of the institution and student quality.
