Through the Barrio Corazón Collective movement where the arts come together, the writer and lyrics specialist José Carlos Aguilar Montoya started the Haiku creation workshop.

Haiku is a type of Japanese poetry, it has its etymology root in the Japanese language, which consists of writing a short poem of seventeen syllables.
Maestra María Muñiz, one of the founders of Barrio Corazón, invited the general public to take advantage of these types of opportunities offered by the collective for free to promote any artistic expression.

She appreciated the willingness of José Carlos Aguilar Montoya to share his knowledge to the Mazatlan citizens and recognized the support of the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan.

The course started today Thursday, and will continue on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the workshop is free and children from 10 years old to Seniors can attend, with headquarters in the library Ing. Manuel Bonilla.
