Accompanied by his harmonica and the piano, with a full majestic Angela Peralta Theater, Corky Siegel offered a spectacular recital composed of his best pieces to the sound of Blues in what is the Gordon Campbell Season 2020.
The Chicago native won the respect, admiration and applause of the hundreds of spectators with his presentation, by starting with an improvisation with the harmonica from his entrance to the theater, an act that was a surprise for those present but that they liked, since the rhythm and interpretation, as well as Corky’s interaction with the audience was authentic and phenomenal.
During his presentation, Maestro Gordon Campbell gave details of how he met the artist, the duets they did, especially, of the charisma and passion that Siegel has when on stage, which is why he affectionately calls him the “Blues pixie”.
People made a connection on several occasions singing songs such as “Am I wrong about you?”, “Southwest coast blues”, “D Ja Vous”, “Mexico”, “Half asleep at the wheel”, “Billie Jean” , “Twisted”, “You don’t have to go”, “One”, “Alka-Seltzer Moon”, “Blues with a feeling”, “Idaho potato man”, and “Mellow down easy”.
A product of his great performance with both the harmonica, the piano, and his voice, Corky won their admiration and in the end he was given a great ovation offered by the public.
This Monday, February 10, “The Secret Life of Corky Siegel” will be presented, which will be narrated by the actress Angélica Aragón at 6 pm where there will be a cocktail with the artists in the TAP lobby, tickets are for sale at the box office.
