The Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán invites its audience to relive the most patriotic night of the year, be part of the program “Celebrating Mexico” and again give the “El Grito” (cry) of Independence as well as remember the best of this holiday.
Through the social network Facebook on the Culture TV fan page, today at 6:00 p.m. the broadcast of the “Grito de Independencia” Ceremony will begin. It will be the artistic part that will open the event, which was broadcast on the night of September 15th.
From inside the Municipal Palace, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, Mayor of Mazatlán, will emulate the cry that the priest Miguel Hidalgo gave with which the Independence movement began in the year 1810.
Prioritizing the health of citizens, the festival was carried out virtually in a transmission that took the public to the stage of the Angela Peralta Theater to enjoy a colorful artistic program led by tenor Ricardo Rodríguez, the Occidente Big Band Jazz, the Traditional Ensemble Mexicano, the Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán and the Classical Ballet Company of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán.
The dance had a place of honor thanks to the vibrant choreographies that maestros Javier Arcadia and Guillermo Carrillo prepared for the folkloric ballet and classical ballet.
You can relive this great celebration this Thursday, September 17 at 6 pm on the official Facebook of Cultura TV.
