“Soy de la Banda”, a program successfully promoted by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, aroused the interest of artists dedicated to tambora music, as well as versatile groups that use classical instruments of this genre, and from the first day of registrations, dozens were incorporated into the register that ends on Friday, October 23.

The offices of the Instituto de Cultura located on Avenida Miguel Alemán # 203 in Colonia Centro, was the place where, with prior appointment and with the relevant health measures due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the interested parties arrived and registered to be part of this program.

Those interested have to call the offices of the Instituto de Cultura 669 982 44 44 during office hours to schedule their appointment, once scheduled all members of the group will have to attend with their voter ID at the offices of the Paramunicipal.

At present, versatile rhythms also capture the taste and attention of fans of banda music, before that the Government of Mazatlán headed by the Mayor, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, through the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte directed by José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, invite versatile groups, norteños and bands that use instruments such as the tuba and the tambora, references of Sinaloan Regional Music, to be part of this pattern since the program has the objective of rescuing, promoting, recognize and supporting all the musicians of this genre to show solidarity with them and be one more ally.

The recognitions will be awarded within the framework of a great event related to Sinaloan music, which will be held in the month of November in the beautiful Port of Mazatlán.
