United for art, this Sunday, March 7 at 12:00 noon, the “Gala pro-percussions” will be held at the Ángela Peralta Theater, an event that will directly benefit the percussion area of the Superior School of Music of the Municipal Center of Arts.
Directors Max Carreón, Javier Sánchez and Omar Ríos, prepared an enriching program where with themes of blues, jazz, and soul, they will provide an enjoyable afternoon to those attending the TAP with several surprises by having different guests such as Rob Lamónica and Héctor Javier Reyes Bonilla.
The function is part of the Spring Season 2021, a calendar successfully promoted by the Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán. Access tickets will cost $100 pesos on the third balcony, $150 on the second, $200 on the first balcony and $250 on the orchestra, and are available at the theater box office from 08:00 to 8:00 from Monday to Friday, and from 09:00 to 2:00 on Saturday.
Some of the songs that the artists will play are “Overture 4” by John Beck, “Xilofonías 3” by George Green, “Stinkin Garbage 4” by Ed Argenziano and “Mexican Medley,” a popular song of the public domain.
The architects that will make up this ensemble are Miguel Lizárraga, Miguel Moreno, Juliana Vilchis, Gabriela Rosas, Javier Brito, Oliver Velázquez, Francisco López, Rutger Almazá, artists recognized locally as great percussionists.
For José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, General Director of the Instituto de Cultura, this event with a cause allows the Higher School of Music to be strengthened in different areas, directly benefiting the students.
