After a long absence of seven years from what he considers home, baritone Esteban Baltazar returns to Mazatlán, and he does so with the operatic concert “Por el gusto de…”, a musical show that will be presented at Casa Haas and in the company of pianist Mario Cabuto.
This event is part of Spring Season 2021 and will take place this Wednesday, June 23 at 8:00 p.m. at the Casa Haas facilities. Tickets are already on sale at the Angela Peralta Theater box office at 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pms, $100 pesos.
The classrooms of the Municipal Arts Center and the Opera Workshop were the academic training center of Esteban Baltazar, who seven years ago left for the old continent where he was on various stages, performed various opera roles in countries such as Spain, England, and Portugal, among others.
For his return, he created a program that will offer a tour of the best songs of all time, such as boleros, tangos and classic pieces of Broadway musicals, among which “Volver”, “Los pájaros perdidos”, “El día que me quieras”, “Bésame mucho”, and “Besos Robados”, among other pieces.
Casa Haas has become an important platform to promote new talents in Mazatlán, where attendees enjoy a quality cultural event, and upon entering they do so under the health protocols implemented due to the new normality, a product of the Covid-19 pandemic.
