The Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán begins the 2021 edition of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán this Friday, October 1st, The opening will be grand with the ballet performance “The Awakening of the Arts” at the majestic Ángela Peralta Theater at 8:00 pm, starring the Compañía Ballet de Mazatlán directed by Maestro Guillermo Carrillo.

For the opening night the group has taken over the neoclassical repertoire very much in line with the times we live in, breaking the creative corset of the classical academy, and with a new vocabulary based on torso falls, off-axis balances and freedom of expression.

Tickets are on sale at the Ángela Peralta Theater box office from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, from Monday to Friday. They cost $200 pesos in the orchestra area, $150 pesos for the first and second balcony, while for the third balcony will be $100 pesos.

When entering, the attending public must comply with the established health protocols, due to the new normal such as wearing a mask at all times, presenting a vaccination certificate, respecting healthy distance, using antibacterial gel, among other indications that the established personnel will give.

The festival’s billboard will be nurtured, it is made up of more than 40 activities that will offer music, ballet, theater, dance, literature, visual arts, cinema, singing and more in spaces such as the Ángela Peralta Theater, Casa Haas, Centro Historico, public libraries and different syndicates and comisaries, thus complying with the amendment of the Mayor of Mazatlán Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, to bring culture and the arts to all corners of the municipality.
