The traditional celebration of the Day of the Dead will remain more alive than ever, thanks to the interest of the Government of Mazatlán led by the Mayor, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, to continue rescuing traditions, in order to give locals and tourists artistic, cultural and healthy leisure activities

Today at a press conference, Lic. José Ángel Tostado Quevedo Director of the Lic. José Ángel Tostado Quevedo Director del Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlá, together with the Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Transit Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola and the Coordinator of Municipal Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastelum announced the details of what this celebration will be, which this time is called “Metamorphosis, myths and legends of Mexico.”

The activities will take place on November 2, they will begin with the traditional tours at the Angela Peralta Theater, which will take place every 20 minutes in groups of 50 people, with a schedule from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am, Access will be free through tickets. Tickets will be delivered through different dynamics in the official social networks of Cultura and in different media.

Replacing the callejoneada for this occasion, with the intention of improving the capacity of citizens and maintaining a better control of health protocols, a Day of the Dead parade will be held, the tour will begin at 8:00 pm, it will depart from the Monument to la Vida located in Vía Zaragoza and Olas Altas, and will culminate in Avenida Miguel Alemán and Carnaval.

Access to the place where this parade will take place will also be free by means of ticketing, tickets will be delivered that same day, at the entrance roads that will be located in Sixto Osuna and Zaragoza.

The Director of Cultura informed that the capacity allowed for the parade will be 15 thousand people who to enter must carry their vaccination certificate or a negative Covid test, go through the sanitary filters and wear their mask at all times, the entry for children over 6 years old. Vehicular circulation in this area will be closed from 5:00 p.m.
