The concert will benefit the DIF System – Sinaloa and DIF – Mazatlán

This Sunday, December 4th at 8:30 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater, the public will witness a highly romantic musical evening during the presentation of the popular trio Los Panchos.

The concert of one of the most romantic trios in the bolero and ballad genre is for the benefit of DIF – Sinaloa and DIF – Mazatlán, since the proceeds from the box office will be used to support social assistance programs.

The General Director of the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, Raúl Rico González, invites you to enjoy the presentation of the new members of Los Panchos.

The group retains its essence and the same sound since the 40s when they instituted another way of making music, by incorporating the requinto [a smaller version of a classical guitar] in the musical accompaniment, highlighted Raúl Rico.

In their appointment with the Mazatlan public, the renowned musicians will perform the most emblematic songs of Los Panchos, who left an indelible mark on Latin American popular music of the 20th century.

“They made close to 1,200,000 music recordings and were in more than 50 national and international movies,” said Rico González.

The trio – he recalled – was formed in the 40’s in Mexico City, by Mexicans Chucho Navarro and Alfredo Gil and Puerto Rican Hernando Avilés; They are considered one of the best musical trios and the way they interpreted the romantic bolero made them popular all over the world.

From their wide repertoire they are remembered with special sweetness: Rayito de luna, Sin ti, Me voy, Nosotros, Sabor a mí, Voy a apagar la luz, Amorcito corazón, Sin un amor, and Flor de Azalea, among other songs.

“It is a privilege to have them, the sound of Los Panchos is still alive, there are other performers but it is still valid and I believe that the new generations appreciate (their music) as much as those who then had the opportunity to listen to them,” concluded Raúl Rico.

Tickets are on sale at the Ángela Peralta Theater box office. Orchestra $500.00; 1st balcony $400.00; 2nd balcony $300.00 and 3rd balcony $200.00.
