The internationally recognized pianist will perform works by composers from Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba and Ecuador

This Wednesday, March 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Music Museum, international pianist César Reyes will offer a Latin American music recital in which he will perform pieces by composers from Mexico, Argentina , Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba and Ecuador.

Internationally recognized as one of the most important promoters of Mexican and Latin American music, the pianist and musicologist César Reyes has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Teatro de las Artes in Mexico and at Semana International Chamber of Piano and Music in Blonay, Switzerland.

César Reyes has been invited to give lectures-recitals for the American Musicological Society, Yale University, State University of New York, University of New Mexico and at the Conservatoire cantonal du Valais in Sion, Switzerland.

He is founder and musical director of the New York Latin American Song and Piano Festival, the only one of its kind in the United States.

A notable pianist, César Reyes studied music at the National Conservatory of Music, the National Center for the Arts, and the City University of New York.

His main mentor was Cuban educator German Diez, who was a disciple and assistant of Claudio Arrau.

He is currently a beneficiary of the Program for Performing Creators with a Trajectory 2020-2023 of the Support System for Creation and Cultural Projects (SACPC), carrying out a project to disseminate the Mexican piano repertoire throughout the country.
