Spring Season 2023, organized by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, began on the right foot by gathering a hundred people in the Portico of the Municipal Center of the Arts during the beginning of the cultural program “Diálogos de nuestra historia” [dialogues of our history].

In the third edition of the interactive talk held outdoors, the Director of Investment Projects of the Sinaloa Ministry of Tourism, José Manuel Villanueva Manzo, spoke on “The new tourism strategy of Sinaloa and its towns.”

As an expert on tourism in Sinaloa, he shared the experience of how the state Sectur has worked since the arrival of Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, focusing actions to promote rural tourism, without neglecting the large tourist poles of the state, including the city of Mazatlán, considered the “jewel in the crown”.

The young attendees questioned and even asked for advice to continue with this trend that has become for many a different way of capitalizing on the attractions that exist and of reactivating the economy in rural communities.

The speaker pointed out that gastronomy, architecture, culture and attention to citizens are key for Mazatlán and southern Sinaloa to continue advancing.

Alonso Guerra, coordinator of Literature of the CMA and promoter of Dialogues of our history, was present at the talk.
