The solidarity of the inhabitants of the port was demonstrated this afternoon in Plaza Machado by donating toys for low-income children.

The initiative of the sovereigns of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 20233, found an echo in dozens of Mazatlecan families that had toys in hand, came to Machado to exchange their donation for a photograph with royalty.

With a smile of emotion S.G.M. Alejandra I, Queen of Carnaval Mazatlan; Uma I, Queen of the Floral Games and Victor II, King of this edition of the greatest fiesta, received the toys and thanked all for the kindness of the people who supported this noble cause.

Víctor Quiroz, King of Carnaval expressed: “I feel very satisfied with the public’s response, if we could do it daily we would, we are very happy with the result.”

Uma Ramírez, Queen of the Floral Games, stated: “I feel very good about this initiative that we had and I am very excited because I know that with this we will make many children who perhaps their parents do not have to give them a toy very happy and with this, I am very excited that they will be able to be happy.

Alejandra Tirado, Queen of the biggest fiesta in the port expressed her happiness with being able to use her reign to carry out positive actions.

“It’s not just wearing a crown, but what you can do with that crown, because we always say nice things about Mazatlán, but you have to know that there are always needs and we have a title that can help, not simply because of the title but what you do with it, so I loved this”.

The sovereigns of Carnaval Mazatlán thank the Municipal Instituto de Cultura for the support and comment that they plan to hold more events and try to invite more royals to get involved in the activities, and they announced that possibly for the Christmas dates they will do it again another collection.

On Friday, April 28th the donated toys will be delivered to children with limited resources who live in some of the most vulnerable areas of Mazatlán.
