With four performances of the show “Historias de un grillo” – on Saturday April 29th, Sunday April 30th and Tuesday May 2nd – at the Ángela Peralta Theater, the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán joins the activities celebrating Children’s Day.

The function on Sunday, April 30th at 12:00 p.m. will be exclusively for guests of the Municipal DIF System, where tickets will be delivered to those interested in attending.

In the presence of the media this Monday, the President of the Mazatlan DIF System, María Teresa Apodaca Muñoz in the company of the director of the paramunicipal Armida Hernández Lara and the General Director of Cultura, Raúl Rico González, signed an agreement to formalize the delivery of 700 tickets to enjoy this show of music, dance and singing.

The idea is that children can get closer to the arts and enjoy a great program with music and songs by Francisco Gabilondo Soler, and choreographies inspired by the most emblematic characters of the renowned singer-songwriter from Veracruz.

“Historias de un Grillo” [stories of a cricket] is part of Spring Season and will feature musicians from the Camerata Mazatlán , directed by maestro Sergio Freeman, students from the CMA Municipal School of Classical Ballet and guest dancers who will perform the choreographies of maestra Zoila Fernández; the Children’s Choir directed by maestra Mariela Angulo and members of the Ballet Folklorico de Cultura Mazatlán under the direction of maestro Javier Arcadia.

It is an honor to join the DIF program, we want one of the performances to be for DIF because children must understand in some way what is done in a theater, it is not an act of mere entertainment but really is an encounter with the arts with culture, expressed Raúl Rico González.

To the delight of locals and tourists, the function “Stories of a Cricket” will also be presented on Saturday, April 29th at 8:00 p.m.; Tickets are on sale at the TAP box office and range from $150 to $300 pesos. On Tuesday, May 2nd, there will be two free performances for schools scheduled at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon.
